Powerfulindexandsearchprogramthatallowsmassivetextualdatabasestobeindexedquicklyandsearchednearlyinstantaneously.RTF,RTFDdataisloadedinaFileTree.Anycombinationoffolderscanbeindexedandsearched.Foreachsearch,iVerbumcreatesatable(whichmaybeaslargeasthousandsoffinds)whichconsistsofsamplestringsofthetextsurroundingeachsearch.EachfilecontainingafindismarkedintheFileTree.SelectingthatfilewillthenscrollthetableofSampleFindstothespecifiedfilewhichthenshowsalistingofthesamplefinds.Double-clickingagivensamplefindwillloadthepertinentfileintheTextPaneandscrollthetexttothegivensearchwhichishighlighted.iVerbumfacilitatesmultiplecopyingforpaperorthesispreparationbyenablingtheusingtocopyoraddselecteddatatooneoffourmemorybuffers.ThisdatacanthenbepastedontotheTextPaneattheinsertionpointeitherinRTFformatorinplaintextsoastomakethestyleidenticaltotheparagraphinwhichitisinserted.iVerbumhasaseparatewindowtoenabletheusertocreateanynumberofIndexSetswhichtheusercanarbitrarilyname.EachIndexSetiscomposedofanynumberofRootFolderswhichshouldbefolderscomposedofRTF,RTFDfiles.Uponloadingthefolders,iVerbumcreatesaplaintextfileforeachRTF,RTFDfile.Althougheffectivelytransparenttotheuser,thesefilesprovidetheindexingandsearchinformationsuchthattherichtextformattingandinclusionofpicturesdoesnotinterferewithaccurateindexing.DOCandHTML(tablesareloadedaspictureshowever)mayalsobeimportedOSX.3andOSX.4.iVerbumcontainsmanyconveniencefeaturesforrapidacquisitionofdataandproductionofnotesandresearch.TheRTF,RTFDdatacanthenbeeasilyimportedtoawordprocessorformorepreciseformattingifnecessary.iVerbumalsopermitsdraganddropforfilesorfoldersandmarksindexesthatareoutdated.Requirements:MacOSX10.2.8orlater,ImportsDOC/HTMLfilesforOSX10.3orlater.
